RUAG Ammotec has developed a unique bonding process in which the core and jacket merge, giving the projectile very special capabilities. A carefully designed jacket combined with a bonded core results in a bullet that does not fragment even on heavy hits, but mushrooms strongly as soon as it hits soft tissue. The design of the bullet allows the use of a comparatively thin jacket. Stringent requirements for material, dimensions and weight, combined with the design and manufacturing process, ensure exceptional precision.
